Solo Practice University Has New Home Page - Check it Out

We've just launched the new home page for Solo Practice University.  Check it out.

If you are already receiving our updates via RSS or email, you don't have to change a thing.  You will continue to get them without interruption.

If you're not already receiving our updates automatically, and you'd like to receive updates as we head towards the launch, grab the RSS feed or signup for e-mail updates.

For our loyal followers, you know we are in private beta, tweaking functionality and design, uploading faculty profiles, filling our library, testing forums and a whole lot more.  It will be a very busy August.

Access is currently limited, though, and you'll be unable to click though to the forums, faculty lounge, co-op or job boards as they are password protected and just available to our testers.  But soon. I promise.

And we would like to personally thank Ed Poll of LawBizBlog for his kind words:

I'm a non-trad 1L and will only go solo. I also don't have the time to figure out how to do it by scouring the web. And my school has no programs for me.

This is exactly what I need. I plan to learn as much as I can from this site while in law school so I can have that added advantage when I pass the bar.

@Shana, I can relate to the absence of meaningful guidance from Career Service Offices. Upon her exit interview, one student actually watched the counselor roll her eyes when she said she was going solo. Now there's a vote of confidence.

@Dave C., while tuition is not set in stone, we are motivated to keep tuition nominal. Solos have a lot to contend with, especially new grads anticipating student loan payments. This is forefront on our radar.

@Jeff, Dave appreciates your comments on the design. He's down in North Carolina trying to work and kiteboard. I wonder if he's got his laptop with him as he catches some wind?

@Dan, our goal is to provide the information you need in one location so you don't have to scour the web for bits and pieces. Congratulations on your ambitions to go solo.
