Casting Call for "Passed the Bar - Hung a Shingle"

David Carson, a former student of mine, who graduated May, 2006, just e-mailed me to let me know that.....(drumroll, please) .... as soon as he passed the bar he "hung a shingle" with another lawyer to form the new immigration law firm of Pelud & Carson, LLC in New Haven, Connecticut.

I cannot explain the joy I feel knowing that my class nurtured the flame of this talented "lawyer as entrepreneur." (my new term for solos, by the way.)

It also inspired me to create another honor roll; "Passed the Bar - Hung a Shingle."

If you would like to be on this "honor roll" please e-mail me with your law school, date of graduation, the name of your practice and where you are located.

This honor roll will include those who opened their practice within 18 months of graduation.  This is  HUGE in my book and deserves special recognition.

Hey- I graduated from Drake Law May 2006, took the Mass Bar in July, got sworn in last month, and I have started my own practice in Boston. I am doing a general practice because right now, all areas of law seem exciting to me. I want to learn everything and help everyone.
