Casting Call....Going Solo; Confessions and Inspirations

Every year when I teach my class on "How To Open And Mangage Your Own Law Practice" I always have a guest panel of newly minted solos come in for a special class of Q & A.  The reason I do this is to help students see more than one perspective on starting a law practice.

This blog is no different.  I can post as many posts as I like.  Link to as many links as I like.  Invariably, it will be perceived as "my perspective." That is the privilege of blogging.  However, my goal for this blog is much larger.  I would like it to be a forum where in you read about numerous Savvy Solos who are willing to share their experiences, triumphs and frustrations through a guest post..as well as offering some of their hard-earned and sage advice.

If you are a solo practitioner who would like to guest post on the above please e-mail me and you will join the blogroll under Savvy Solos, make friends and new contacts.

I am really looking forward to reading the stories that come from this posting. I am an (almost second year) associate at a plaintiff's firm right now but dream about going out on my own in, hopefully, the next year. Your site makes me think I can do it. Hearing stories from people who are where I want to be helps bolster my (still shaky from law school) self-confidence. Thanks for all you do!

Hi Susan, because you plan to include voices other than your own, you're on your way to making this more of a community effort. I sense that's stronger than just one voice. I'm glad you stopped by Brain Based Biz. I'm going to add you to my favorites.
